We’re proud to showcase the equality-focussed companies who are working closely with MyBigCareer as Future Makers to help inspire young people from an early age and connect them to opportunities for work and further education.

Future Makers make great things happen

Collaboration in Future Makers means the value flows both ways for the charity, for the young people we support, and for the businesses who are supporting them.

Future Makers employees are being trained by our team to become volunteer Career Coaches and Results Day Advisors to support young people who lack positive role models in their lives.

Future Makers companies provide vital funding which enables MyBigCareer to support schools and pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds free of charge

We work together to open up workplace experiences and first job opportunities for under-represented young people

Together we explore ways to support under-represented young people to pursue careers within Future Makers’ businesses and wider sectors

“Advent International is proud to be a founding member of MyBigCareer’s Future Makers programme. As a business committed to diversity, equity and equality of opportunity, we have been working closely with MyBigCareer throughout the pandemic to support under-represented young people facing the biggest barriers to social mobility. The charity’s Future Makers initiative is a natural extension of our partnership – resonating with our business and our people – and we strongly encourage like-minded businesses to join us in supporting this important cause.”

James Brocklebank, Managing Partner

“At Aspect Capital we highly value our partnership with MyBigCareer and founding membership of Future Makers. Our staff come from a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences, and are passionate about supporting under-represented young people to achieve their full potential. We want to make a big impact on a small charity by providing regular funding, and by lending our skills through employee volunteering. MyBigCareer’s Future Makers programme is a really motivational focus for our teams, and engages Aspect Capital’s networks in our commitment to social mobility.”

Flora Hudson-Evans, Director of HR

“As part of Ecotone’s Food for Biodiversity purpose, we have been looking at our own inclusion and diversity and how our internal ecosystem and local community could benefit from greater depth of diversity. This has driven us to look outside the business to how we can create a positive future for the food industry by bringing greater diversity to the next generation of workers in FMCG. We’re delighted to be working with MyBigCareer to help open up more opportunities for young people and break down barriers for those from disadvantaged backgrounds.”

Biopharmaceutical company Gilead Sciences is helping us give under-represented young people the career path awareness and access to workplace experiences that is desperately lacking, and to challenge the inequality of opportunity they face.

“The Wiggin Charitable Foundation is helping open up workplace experiences for young people from local communities near to Wiggin’s offices in London and Cheltenham.”
